Ingredients
- 1 slice of red bell pepper, diced
 - 3 fresh basil leaves, 2 torn for muddling and 1 for garnish
 - 2 oz mezcal
 - 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
 - 1/2 oz amaro or fernet
 - lime wheel or wedge for garnish
 - ice for shaking + 1 large cube for serving
 
Directions
- Muddle the diced pepper, 2 torn basil leaves, and lime juice in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
 - Add mezcal, amaro/fernet, ice and shake.
 - Add 1 large ice cube to a rocks glass and strain/pour the cocktail into the glass.
 - Garnish with 1 fresh basil leave and a lime wheel and serve.
