Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
 - 1 1/2 cups butter
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
 - 6 eggs
 - 3 cups flour
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 - 1/2 teaspoon ginger
 - 1/4 teaspoon cloves
 - 1 cup pumpkin puree
 
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350.
 - Grease Bundt or loaf pan and dust it with flour.
 - In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla and then the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
 - In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger & cloves and mix well. Alternately add dry ingredients and pumpkin to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition.
 - Pour the batter into the pan.
 - Bake for 70 minutes (toothpick test for doneness). Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert on a serving plate to cool completely.
